No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Website Hosting
If you host your sites in a website hosting account from our company, you won't have to worry about any of your data ever getting corrupted. We can ensure that due to the fact that our cloud hosting platform employs the amazing ZFS file system. The aforementioned is the only file system which uses checksums, or unique digital fingerprints, for each and every file. All of the data that you upload will be stored in a RAID i.e. simultaneously on multiple SSD drives. All file systems synchronize the files between the different drives using this type of a setup, but there is no real guarantee that a file will not be corrupted. This may happen during the writing process on any drive and then a bad copy can be copied on the other drives. What is different on our platform is the fact that ZFS examines the checksums of all files on all of the drives in real time and in the event that a corrupted file is located, it's replaced with a good copy with the correct checksum from some other drive. That way, your information will remain undamaged no matter what, even if a whole drive fails.
No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Semi-dedicated Servers
If you acquire one of our semi-dedicated server plans, you won't have to be concerned about silent file corruption as we use ZFS - a high level file system which monitors all files in real time. Each time you upload a file to your web hosting account, ZFS will assign a unique digital fingerprint to it - the so-called checksum. The file will be synchronized between a number of SSD drives for redundancy, so if a drive fails, the other ones will take over. ZFS compares the checksum of all copies on the different drives and when it detects a damaged copy, it replaces it with a healthy one from another drive. This happens immediately, so there will be no threat for any part of your content at any moment. In contrast, other file systems execute checks only after a system malfunction, but since they do not use anything similar to the checksums that ZFS uses, they can't detect silently corrupted files, so a corrupted copy could be replicated on the remaining drives as well and you can lose precious data. Because this is not the case with ZFS, we are able to guarantee the integrity of each and every file you upload no matter what.
